A New Adventure: Putting our house on the market

Joey in the backyard

For at least 2 years, The Big Photo Project has been going on, behind the scenes in private, and on center stage, on my blog. I have been diligently organizing the past: past photos, past souvenirs, and past memories. I have been looking through old photos and old souvenirs in enjoyment and awe because I had forgotten some of the good stuff.

I have reminisced upon many happy memories and accomplishments in the past. I am proud to have done what I have done so far. I have been told people in retirement either look back and feel good about their life or look back and feel regret.

No regret.

I feel good about Birth to 29 years old. Heck, Birth to 29 years old was easy and hard. But, I survived it and did the best I could in every situation I encountered. I say every situation because I am at peace with everything from Birth to 29 years old. It would difficult to NOT be at peace: I am 41 years old and things are going well for me now because of the solid foundation throughout my childhood and young adulthood.

I made some good choices and I can be proud of that.

Now, I need to return to the present for a period of time – before I continue analyzing 29 – 41 years old – because putting our house on the market is a big deal and the best birthday present I could ask for. My 41st birthday was yesterday.

My goal is to blog about putting our house on the market until we sell it. This is our adventure!

I will post at least one photo everyday of something in the house or in our yard until we sell it and start moving everything out of it. The purpose in doing this is to have a collection of photos on my blog of our first house as we are going through the process of moving and its energy just before we sell it.

I have spent over 10 years living in this house, and although I do not get attached to material things, it will be fun someday to look back at these photos and memories of the selling process. Of course, I will try to capture the dogs in several of the photos because they bring life into this house. It is as much their house as ours.

Enjoy.
