In the early afternoon, I set out to run 3 miles in the direction of Mission Bay. I brought along my iPhone to snap photos of some things I saw during my run. I am grateful for variety and scenery when I run. The weather was mild and better running weather than at home in Texas on the same day. I felt lucky to be in Auckland with weather in the 60s and sunny.
In the late afternoon, my roommate and I rode the hotel shuttle to Parnell which is known for its shops, restaurants and bars. It is a hip area of Auckland.
In Parnell, I bought Alan a pound of coffee as a souvenir. Then, my roommate and I explored more shops and had a relaxing two hour happy hour at two different wine bars before taking a bus to the harbor to eat some of the best Chinese food I have ever had.
I am not a fan of most American Chinese food. However, I could get used to eating the Chinese food at the Grand Harbour in Auckland. I paid 27 American dollars before tip for the Stir Fried Scallops with Macademia Nuts at Grand Harbour and they were worth every penny.
