FAM Trip Participants must be at least intermediate snow skiers because one of the goals of a FAM is to ski and report on the ski resort. No natural snow, all man-made and sparse, meant no skiing for us!
We did receive an informative tour of Coronet Peak. We learned about: their lift pass system, their ski rental shop, their restaurant, their lifts, the parking situation, etc. Apparently, many of the skiers in New Zealand are from Australia.
After the tour, our guide offered each of us a specialty coffee drink. Short Black is an espresso; Long Black is similar to an Americano; and Flat White is similar to a Latte or Café Au Lait. Latte is the same as in the U.S., a Latte. I found the different terminology interesting.
